GUILDHALL BAUHAUS COMPANY 2025/26

The Guildhall Bauhaus Company’s annual project ‘Barbican New Vision’ draws on the work of Moholy-Nagy, New Vision Photography, and the concept of Music for Architecture, reinterpreting the Barbican Centre from an audiovisual perspective. I produced this work as part of the project.

The coordinates 51.5193798, -0.0943226 mark the location of the Centre’s artificial lake. This audiovisual work focuses on the Barbican’s abstract architectural details, shadows, reflections, transparency, geometric structures, light, and texture. Taking a hauntological approach, it traces the site from the time before the Barbican’s construction to the present, capturing the flow of water at this location, the evolving form of the space, and the layering of past and present over time.
