I wrote a saxophone quartet piece inspired by Bauhaus ABC and made a video. I focused on understanding three shapes in The ABC Bauhaus and recreating the movements of inner/outer energy flows of them. I produced them based on the energy movements of the colours and shapes. By reading <Point and Line to Plane> and <Concerning the Spiritual in Art> both by Wassily Kandinsky, I was able to understand more of Kandinsky’s Colour theory and how colour determines shapes. 

The video was created based on Kandinsky’s art theory, as well as the score. I mostly concentrate on understanding its energy flow and try to feel it, then try to replicate that emotion and feeling in my work. I was also focusing on making it efficient and simple, also using the lights and shadow to create the contrast and convey the energy of the shapes and colours. By making it calm and settled, to give the audience the space to make their emotions experience.
